Mint and lemon makes a deliciously nice iced tea on a hot summer day. The two flavours combine well to make a wonderful combination to this iced tea.
The lemon thyme or lemon verbena provide a delicate yet wholly different flavour than straight mint tea.
Here’s what you need:
2 Tbsp. of fresh lemon thyme or lemon verbena leaves 4 tsp. dried leaves
3/4 cup fresh mint leaves or 4 1/2 Tbsp. dried mint
Honey or sugar to taste
8 cups of water
How to Make:
Bring water to a boil in pot over the stove. Add the herbs.
Turn off the heat and allow the herbs to steep 5 minutes or until tea reaches the strength you prefer.
Sweeten if desired with honey or sugar.
Allow the tea to cool, then strain into a pitcher and chill for several hours.
Garnish with slices of lemon. Enjoy your mint and lemon iced tea on a hot summer day.
