How do you have a healthy immune system using herbs and supplements?
I want to share some tips on how to have a healthy immune system during fall and winter.
We all know it’s important to have a healthy diet for a strong immune system.
There’s two types of immune system.
There’s our innate immune system – that’s the one we were born with and that’s our first line of defense whenever we encounter disease and infection.

Then there’s our adaptive immune system – this immune system helps us adapt to diseases that come up in life when we encounter disease to develop antibodies to protect against that.
We obviously need a healthy diet to have a strong immune system.  Supplements like Vitamin C and Vitamin D are very important
But did you know that exercise can contribute to a healthy immune system as well?
Studies show that just 20 minutes of moderate exercise a day can stimulate your immune system and provide anti-inflammatory protection for your cells.
So that’s very important and really important to make time for exercise.

Herbs and Supplements

But also herbs and supplements can provide that protection as well
Certain herbs and supplements are popular, like wild oil of oregano.
This is not something that should be taken all the time, because there is a way to take herbs.
But it’s important to take these for the right time period, and generally it’s taken at the onset of disease or infection before it has a worse effect on your immune system.

When you enter fall and you want to protect yourself, you want to have some things on hand so you can take it as your first line of defense as soon as you feel ill.

Gut Health Important

Another thing that’s important to know is our gut health is extremely important for good immune health.
Oftentimes, infections and things can start in our gut and we start to that.
It’s important to have a good strong diet for good gut health and a way of protecting yourself with good clean foods, lik, eating fresh fruits and vegetables.
Citrus fruits  are important and vegetables like coleslaw, both of which can provide high amounts of Vitamin C.
