Everyone can benefit from effective home remedies for gas.
That’s because health experts state that every person experiences gas and passes it at least 12 times a day.

Some people can have excessive gas. Though some people think 12 times a day is excessive. Excessive gas can result in intense abdominal pain and often cramping. While you can’t stop gas completely, you can use several home remedies for gas. These home remedies can help reduce the severity and frequency of the problem. 

Fennel

For centuries, healers in China have used fennel as an effective cure for gas. In fact, fennel was also a popular digestive aid in Medieval Europe. In the past, many studies, researches and dieticians have recommended fennel to be an effective remedy for gas. Fennel works as a preventative and treatment for excessive gas.

Fennel tea is one of the best home remedies for gas. You can use 2 to 3 tablespoons of crushed fennel seeds in just 1 cup boiling water. Heat this mixture for 10 minutes and strain out the seeds. You should drink fennel tea just before your meals for best results. Drinking fennel tea every day can also prevent chronic flatulence.

Peppermint Tea

Peppermint is one of the most popular herbal digestive aids. It soothes your bowels and intestines to stop gas and bloating. Peppermint has antispasmodic properties which improves your digestion process.

Make peppermint tea with 2 tablespoons of dried peppermint leaves in 1 cup of boiling water. Heat this mixture for about 15 minutes and then strain out the herbs. You can also use honey to sweeten peppermint tea. Drink it immediately after your meals or when you experience gas.

Baking Soda

Baking soda can easily neutralize stomach acid and provide some relief from gas and bloating. Many health experts and dieticians consider baking soda to be one of the most effective home remedies for gas. Almost every gas medication contains baking soda to neutralize stomach acid.

Stir 1/2 tsp. of baking soda in 1 glass of water. Drink it when you experience gas pains, but use it only occasionally. In extremely rare cases, baking soda can explode in your stomach and tear your stomach’s lining. So be very careful with this remedy and only use the baking soda in small amounts.
it is recommended to add around 4 to 5 drops of lemon juice before drinking the baking soda to neutralize the effect.

Chamomile Tea

Chamomile is a tension-easing herb. It can also increase bile flow and dispel gas. Chamomile tea can effectively improve your digestion as it contains flavonoids.
Thee flavonoids can easily relax your intestinal muscles and decrease spasms. Use chamomile in tea after your meals. Use 1 tablespoon of dried chamomile flowers in just 1 cup of boiling water. Heat the mix for 10 minutes and sweeten it with honey. Drink it hot. Drink 4 cups of chamomile tea everyday. If you are allergic to ragweed, you should avoid chamomile.

There are many other home remedies for gas. However, these are the simplest ones and when followed correcetly don’t cause any side effects. You can use these remedies to get some relief from gas, bloating and flatulence.
